Dancehall Superstar Sean Paul says he has always been a supporter of South African born popstar Tyla partly because she has also shown support for Jamaica, so it was easy to say yes to a remix of her song ‘Push 2 Start.’
He is known for a slew of hits and crossover hits but also his ability to land collabs with some of the biggest names in music, the likes of Beyonce, Jennfer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias and others; that have set him apart as a giant of Jamaican music on the global stage.
Now the dancehall superstar has collaborated with fast – rising South African born, US based popstar Tyla for a remix of her song ‘Push 2 Start.’
The remix dropped recently and was accompanied by a video which dropped on Monday of this week.
In an IRIE FM exclusive, Sean Paul explained how the collab came to be.
Meanwhile, he recently created history, becoming the only dancehall artiste with four singles surpassing 1 billion views on YouTube and streaming on Spotify. He says he feels privileged to have a career doing what makes him happy and able to share that happiness with fans.
