CXC reports overall decline in student performance in C-SEC Exams
The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) reports an overall decrease in the performance of candidates for this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (C-SEC) examinations compared to last year.
Speaking at the official release of the examination results this morning (September 5) Director of Operations for CXC, Nicole Manning said there were decreases in Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Geography, Social Studies, French and Human and Social Biology.
Meantime, she said there were improved performances for Principles of Accounts, Principles of Business, English B and Biology.
In the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE), there were decreases in performances for Caribbean Studies and Communication Studies.
The results will be made available to the students by 5 pm Jamaica time.
