The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) has commenced investigations into circumstances surrounding an issue which occurred with the distribution of the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) Principles of Accounts Paper 2, at specific centres. 

The locations of the affected centres were not disclosed. 

In a statement, (CXC) said it understands that any uncertainty around examinations can cause anxiety and sought to assure candidates and parents that these matters are treated with the highest urgency. 

CXC said once it has completed investigations, the appropriate action will be taken.

This is the latest in a series of incidents involving CXC exams in recent months.

Earlier this week, CXC advised that a claim on social media about a paper leak, was a hoax.

Prior to this, there were reports of irregularities with exam papers at some schools in Jamaica.
