Curfews have been imposed in four police divisions that are seeing an uptick in violence and murders.

The restrictions are in sections of St. Catherine South, West Kingston, St. Andrew Central, and the Kingston Eastern divisions.

In St. Catherine South, there is another 48-hour curfew which began at 6:00 PM. yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 PM, tomorrow January 18.

In the meantime, the 72-hour curfew imposed in sections of Denham Town community in Kingston Western has been re-instituted.

It came into effect at 8:00 AM yesterday and will remain in effect until 8:00 AM on Sunday, January 19.

Over in St. Andrew Central, a 48-hour curfew began at 6:00 PM yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 PM, tomorrow.

And another 48-hour curfew has been imposed in sections of the Kingston Eastern police division.

That curfew began at 6:00 PM yesterday and will remain in effect until 6:00 PM tomorrow.

During the curfews, all persons are required to remain within their premises, unless authorized by a ground commander.
