Crime Stop reports 91% increase in tips received
Crime Stop Jamaica, is reporting a 91 per cent increase in the number of tips received so far this year, when compared to last year.
Crime Stop’s Manager, Cherise Bruce-Douglas says the not-for-profit organization, has so far received 711 tips, 26 more than the 685 received last year.
She explains, that among the categories of tips received there has been an exponential increase in the number of tips relating to illegal firearms, lottery scamming and wanted persons.
This, she notes, has led to the seizure of several firearms and 365 rounds of ammunition.
