Crime is not a police issue, it is a societal one.

That’s the declaration of Head of the Crime Portfolio, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Fitz Bailey.

While the police have a responsibility to enforce laws and ensure a safe environment for citizens, DCP Bailey says Jamaicans must also play a role in curbing the country’s crime monster.

He also lambasted family members who provide safe havens for criminals.
