CPFSA urges students to think before they act
“Leave badness alone!”
That’s the appeal from the Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) to the nation’s students.
The call comes in response to an incident at the St. Thomas Technical High School, where a student was assaulted with a metal rod by two of his schoolmates, at the school’s gate.
The incident occurred on May 15 and resulted in the victim sustaining a major wound to his head and other injuries to the upper body.
Referencing the incident, the CEO of the CPFSA, Laurette Adams-Thomas urged students to carefully consider their actions before acting out, as there are life-long consequences to violent behaviour.
She also shared that the agency is providing psycho-social support to the victim.
