CPFSA reports over 10,000 calls to 211 helpline since the start of the year
The Child Protection and Family Services Agency, (CPFSA) is reporting that over 10,000 calls have been made to the 211 helpline since the start of the year.
The 211 help line is designed to report child abuse.
Chief Executive Officer of the CPFSA Laurette Adams-Thomas says the statistics show the need to promote child protection in the society.
She is calling on citizens to do more to stand against child abuse.
According to her, parents and guardians must also develop a partnership with their children and educate them about what they should do to protect themselves.
