COVID-19 cases declining; 88 people test positive yesterday
Jamaica continues to see a decline in new COVID-19 cases. This, as 88 more people tested positive for the virus, pushing the case count to 141, 720.
Of the new cases, 54 are females and 34 are males. They range in age from 27 days to 97 years. The positivity rate has also declined to 16.6%.
Meantime, the health ministry reported 4 more covid-related deaths, pushing the death tally to 3,098.
Two of the deaths occurred in May and the other two occurred this month.
There are 133 people hospitalized with the virus. Thirty-seven of them are moderately ill, 14 are severely ill and 4 are critically ill.
A total of 168 more people have recovered, pushing that tally to 89, 916.
