All contractors, developers and operators of active construction sites, are being urged to secure material and equipment, amidst the passage of Hurricane Beryl. 

The reminder came from Mayor of Kingston Andrew Swaby, in a statement yesterday. 

Mr. Swaby noted that construction material, including debris, can become projectiles due to Hurricane Beryl’s strong winds. 

He added that all tower crane frames must be properly anchored to the associated structure, in the manner prescribed by a professional structural engineer.
