Commissioner says members of Constabulary will be in a better position regarding uniform availability by first quarter of next year
Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says members of the Constabulary will be in a better position, regarding the availability of uniforms by the first quarter of next year.
Major General Anderson explained that there have been supply issues, due to the impacts of COVID-19.
Some stakeholders had raised concerns about new recruits not receiving adequate numbers of uniforms and other supplies.
In response, Major General Anderson noted that while there are still challenges, the supply flow is starting.
The Commissioner said about 7,000 suits and at least 800 bulletproof vests are already in the country.
The Commissioner was speaking at the St Catherine North Divisional Awards ceremony, at the GC Foster College yesterday (December 13).
