Sections of the island are being lashed by heavy rains.

This as a Cold Front is moving across Jamaica.

It is expected to be east of the island later today, and remain across the central Caribbean for a few days.

The Met Service says as a result, expect cloudy conditions with periods of showers and isolated thunderstorms to persist.

Additionally, cool and windy conditions are expected across the island and especially northern parishes beginning today, and should last for most of this week.
