Clarendon police to question man identified as person of interest in reported sexual assault of 10yo girl in Mineral Heights, May Pen

The Clarendon Police are to question a man identified as a person of interest as they widen their probe into the reported sexual assault of a 10-year-old girl in Mineral Heights, May Pen.
Police say the man was held on Thursday as part of the investigation.
Police report that on September 8, the child disembarked a taxi at the entrance of the Mineral Heights Housing Scheme on her way to school, when a man allegedly persuaded her to get into his vehicle.
Police say the child was taken to a neighbouring community where she was sexually assaulted in bushes before being released near her school.
The institution’s staff were alerted, the child was rushed to hospital, and the police were called.
