The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is urging parents to observe their children to identify tell-tale signs of sexual abuse.
Head of CISOCA, Superintendent Kerry-Ann Bailey, warns that when girls are being sexually abused, they tend to be withdrawn.
She is also encouraging parents to be proactive with getting their children’s medical checks done so that they can identify at an early stage if something is wrong.
