Chuck calls on Integrity Commission to apologize to public officials for its behaviour
Justice Minister Delroy Chuck has stated that the Integrity Commission lacks integrity, and should apologize to public officials, for its behaviour.
He was speaking in parliament on Wednesday, in response to comments by former National Security Minister Robert Montague, about the Integrity Commission‘s report regarding the issuance of gun licences on appeal by the Firearm Licensing Authority, and the commission’s tabling of an addendum, following a challenge by former National Security Minister Peter Bunting.
Chuck cited the matters relating to Petrojam, Prime Minister Andrew Holness, and the Code of Conduct, as examples of questionable behaviour by the commission.
He chastised the commission, for being biased and unfair.
He said the commission needs to get its act together.
