Chuck says ministers cannot provide payment plan for outstanding traffic tickets
As taxi operators continue to call for a payment plan for outstanding traffic tickets, Justice Minister Delroy Chuck says ministers cannot approve any plan.
This as once a ticket becomes outstanding, and the matter is before the traffic court, any request for a payment plan, should be made to the judge hearing the case.
Mr Chuck points out that the executive cannot interfere with the decisions of the judiciary.
He states that the judiciary is working on measures to facilitate payments, such as, holding night and weekend court.
