Chronixx partners with AddisCoder to launch JamCoders for Jamaican teens
Entertainer Chronixx has partnered with AddisCoder, to bring JamCoders an ed-tech programme to Jamaica.
AddisCoder is a free intensive 4-week summer program in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, introducing high schoolers to programming and algorithms.
After reading about the AddisCoder program in Ethiopia, Chronixx and his team conceived the idea to start JamCoders. The Reggae entertainer then made a generous donation to support the creation of the program.
JamCoders, heavily influenced by AddisCoder, is a summer camp on algorithms and programming for high school students that was recently launched in Kingston, Jamaica.
In a post shared on their official Instagram page on Thursday (July 7), JamCoders thanked Chronixx for his support, and for visiting.
The Jamcoders camp which began on July 4, will run until July 29.
JamCoders, administered by AddisCoder Inc., is incorporated as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization, and welcomes donations from individuals.
