Chronic Law: “Family a Family Nuh Tell Me Bout Nuh Fren”

“Family a family, nuh tell me bout nuh fren,” says jailed Dancehall deejay Chronic Law.
His comments came after fellow entertainer Jahshii posted a photo with a group of men wearing black T-shirts branded “Free Law Boss.”
In the comments, Jahshii reacted, writing, “Music need yuh, my bro!!”
Chronic Law is set to appear in a Georgia federal court on August 31 in Albany, Georgia, marking his first court appearance in the federal gun case.
The entertainer was arrested in Miami, Florida, in July and charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was later transferred to Georgia.
The charges stem from a November 2025 incident in Georgia, where the St. Thomas, Jamaica native was reportedly booked for speeding and attempting to evade police.
According to reports, authorities later determined that Chronic Law was in possession of four firearms. One of the weapons had reportedly been reported stolen in Florida at the time of the traffic stop.
Federal authorities have also said the entertainer admitted to possessing the firearms but claimed they were props used in music videos.
The Feds allege that two of the four firearms found in Chronic Law’s possession had been featured in two separate music videos.
However, authorities maintain that under the terms of his O-1B non-immigrant visa, Chronic Law was required to obtain special authorization to possess firearms. The Feds allege that he never received that authorization.
If convicted, the 32-year-old entertainer faces up to 10 years in prison. He could also have his visa revoked and face deportation to Jamaica.
