Christopher Taylor returns to action on June 7
World Championship mile relay silver medalist Christopher Taylor will make his long waited return to the track, when he competes at the seventh installment of the Racers Grand Prix on June 7.
Taylor, the 2022 NACAC gold medalist and former Calabar stand out, who was suspended for two-and-a-half years by the Athletics Integrity unit back in 2023 for evading, refusing or failing to submit a sample, will compete in the 200m with his ban officially ending on May 15.
Meanwhile, Jamaican Olympic 100metres silver medallist Kishane Thompson and reigning olympic 100m hurdles champion Masai Russell headline a star studded field for this year’s staging which is World Challenger Meet.
Oblique Seville and World Championship relay silver medallist Zharnel Hughes will also compete, while Orlando Bennett will do battle with Americans Cordell Tinch and Trey Cunningham, last year’s winner, in the 110metres hurdles.
On the women’s side, world record holder Tobi Amusan and Tia Jones, the Clayton wins Tia and Tina from the MVP Track Club, World Under 20 100metres champion now turned pro Alana Reid, Shashalee Forbes, Krystal Sloley, Charokee Young are all listed to compete.
In the meantime, Wolmers High School and Racers Track Club sprinter Gary Card, will also be making his professional debut at the meet.
The meet features the 100, 200 and 400meters for men and women, the 100metres hurdles for women and the 110 hurdles for men, the 400metres hurdles for men and women, the triple jump for women and the long jump for men.
