Christopher Martin withdraws from benefit concert after falling off stage
Christopher Martin has withdrawn from this weekend’s Treasure Beach Food, Rum and Reggae Benefit Festival after falling off stage during a recent performance in Sierra Leone.
According to event organisers, the singer will no longer appear at Sunday’s one-day concert. In a statement shared with fans, Martin said he is currently undergoing medical evaluation and has been advised by his doctor to take several days of full rest.
The benefit festival aims to support the recovery of Jamaica’s agriculture sector following the devastating effects of Hurricane Melissa. Proceeds from the event will assist rehabilitation efforts for farmers and communities most severely impacted.
