Dancehall artist Chi Ching Ching is to appear before the court to answer charges related to breaches of the terms and conditions of his firearm license.

The 41-year-old artist whose given name is Radion Beckford was charged in relation to an incident in Portland on Wednesday.

Reports from the police are that Beckford was driving a Toyota Rav 4 along the San San main road when he was signaled to stop during a police vehicular checkpoint operation.

During a search of the vehicle and his person, it was established that Mr. Beckford’s firearm license for a Glock pistol with 50 rounds, which was issued last February, expired September 19 last year.

The firearm was seized, and Beckford charged. His court is being finalized.
