Chartered flight being arranged to fly West Indies cricketers home from India….amidst Middle East Tension
The West Indies cricketers are still in India following the completion of their sojourn at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup tournament on Sunday.
Their delay departure resulting from the international airspace restrictions following the US-Israel military action against Iran.
Content and media officer at Cricket West Indies Jerome Foster says efforts are being made to get the team home but the earliest departure will be on Wednesday and probably via chartered flight.
The West Indies was eliminated from the World Cup on Sunday when they lost to host India in their final super-8 match at Eden Gardens in Kolkota.
Cricket West Indies in the statement yesterday says the team currently accommodated in India, remains safe and well.
