Charity set up at Mount Pleasant well advanced
(Story written by Robert Williams)
Setting up a charity is well advanced as part of the new Memorandum of Understanding between Mount Pleasant Academy and English League one outfit Charlton Athletic.
The Mountain to Valley initiative received a major boost this weekend when officials of the Charlton Athletic flew into the island to get close up and personal with the Mount Pleasant football family.
This included watching the Jamaica Premier League game at Drax Hall on Sunday and touring the Academy facilities on monday and interacting with the students.
Jason Morgan…..the Chief Executive Officer at Charlton Athletic Community Trust explains that they have been successful with setting up charities over the past three decades.
According to Morgan no time frame will be put on its completion.
The Mount Pleasant senior team team will travel to the South London club as part of the M.OU……on a yearly basis for a pre-season charity match at the valley.
