Charges laid against several persons arrested during police operations in Trelawny

Some of the 13 persons arrested during targeted police operations in Trelawny have been charged in relation to breaches of the Law Reform Act.

Others were processed and released. 

The operations commenced in Ulster Spring, Wait-a-Bit, and Warsop, yesterday.

Head of the division Superintendent Winston Milton said cops seized two cellular phones and cash amounting to $624,500.

The operations which continued today, targeted violence producers, persons of interest, wanted individuals, and major lottery scammers, while also focusing on the seizure of prohibited weapons and ammunition.

Superintendent Milton stressed that the continued operations are aimed at disrupting criminal networks and enhancing safety.
