Chapleton Maroons hit hard by competitions sanctions by JFF
Mount Pleasant is back at the top of the Jamaica Premier League standings with 24 points, two ahead of Cavalier.
This as they were awarded the un-played game against Chaplelton Maroons yesterday by a 3-nil scoreline .
The competitions committee of the JFF made the ruling after Chapelton Maroons failed to show for the match day 11 contest at the Effortville Community Centre.
Chapelton Maroons FC has also been fined two hundred thousand dollars……..this payment must be made on or before Friday, February 3, 2023.
Six points have also been deducted from Chapelton Maroons current points tally which leaves them now on two points.
The club must also compensate for any damages or losses suffered by Mount Pleasant FA and the JFF up to a maximum of $150,000……… invoices for which will be provided as soon as they are available.
Chapelton Maroons will also be referred to the JFF disciplinary committee for further actions to be taken in accordance with article 70 of the JFF disciplinary code.
