Chaos erupts at Christiana Moravian Primary School in Manchester after fatal shooting at school gate this morning
There were scenes of chaos at the Christiana Moravian Primary School in Manchester this morning, after a man was shot dead at the gate of the institution.
Relatives named him as Cuthbert Lambert also known as Jerome.
IRIE FM News understands that the school was locked down after the incident to ensure the safety of students.
Reports are that shortly after 8:00 A.M., Lambert dropped off his five year old stepdaughter at the school and was ambushed by gunmen at his car.
He was shot multiple times.
The police were summoned and he was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
It is reported that students and teachers who were in close proximity to the shooting have been left traumatized.
Meantime, Principal of the Christiana High School, Leecent Wallace said his institution is close to the primary school and his students were also traumatized.
People’s National Party Caretaker for Manchester North East Valenton Wint said the spate of violent incidents in Christiana is concerning.
