Chang says over 20 firearms handed over under gun amnesty
National Security Minister Dr Horace Chang says over 20 firearms have been handed over to the police, since the government’s gun amnesty was launched.
The gun amnesty which allows persons to hand over firearms without facing any charge, began on November 5 and is to end on November 19.
Speaking at a press briefing on Wednesday Dr Chang who was giving an update on the amnesty said some of these individuals inherited the firearms from a relative.
He said he is satisfied with the progress of the gun amnesty so far.
