Fi We Children Foundation (FWCFf) is calling on the Education Ministry to implement faster and more accessible educational assessments- for children experiencing developmental and learning challenges linked- to the Covid-19 pandemic and other public health crises. The foundation’s call follows a newspaper report  highlighting growing concerns that “pandemic babies” are contributing to increased demand for inclusive classrooms.

Children’s Advocate Diahann Gordon-Harrison has expressed concern about the rapidly growing threat of online child sexual exploitation and abuse in Jamaica.  She said several of the sexual violence cases handled by her office had an online or digital component.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has stated that reconstruction spending  to come under the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority, NaRRA, will be the single largest economic intervention that Jamaica will make in a generation. He told the country's business people that there is a possibility Jamaica could increase its Gross Domestic Product , GDP,  by more than 20 percent.
