The St. James police say there has been an increase in cases of sacrilege,  particularly break-ins, at churches. Commanding Officer, Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels states that a task force has been established to address the issue.

Police have ramped up their presence in Red Bank, St. Elizabeth following a murder and robbery in the community, Thursday night. The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old nail technician Nicole Facey,  also called Nicky of Red Bank. Police say at about 10:50 pm, Ms. Facey was making her way home from her business place when gunmen in a vehicle demanded her handbag.
