Four men are dead after they were shot and wounded along Waltham Park Road, in St. Andrew last evening. Their names have not been released.

Jamaicans are being urged to denounce bomb threats, especially on the nation's schools and to play their part in ensuring that schools remain safe zones. The appeal by the Education Ministry and the Jamaica Fire Brigade follows a bomb threat at the Meadowbrook High School in St. Andrew yesterday.

Two lobby groups have renewed their call for the government to take immediate and decisive action to address the severe overcrowding and deplorable conditions in Jamaica’s correctional facilities. Stand Up for Jamaica (SUFJ) and Jamaicans For Justice (JFJ) say the recent influenza outbreak at the Tower Street and St. Catherine Adult Correctional Centres, highlights the systemic failings that have long plagued these institutions, endangering both inmates and staff.

Six (6) school boys who were seen in a viral video physically and sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl have been charged . The Child Protection and Family Services Agency (CPFSA) says the boys have been charged with several offences including, but not limited to: Rape, Forcible Abduction, Knowing and producing Child Pornography and distributing child pornography.

Jamaica's murder tally has surpassed the 1,000 mark. According to the latest police data, 1,039 homicides were recorded up to Saturday, November 23. This is  44 more than the 995 recorded up to Saturday November 16.
