A man was fatally shot and a firearm seized during an alleged confrontation with police following an operation in Thornton, St. Elizabeth last evening. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Dwart Ferguson otherwise called "Dwayne" or "tata", a resident of cassia road in Thornton.
