Police Commissioner Dr Kevin Blake has sought to highlight the burden of judgement and decision making that officers experience when they are in the field.  He made the comment during the latest Commissioner's Corner.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has reiterated the government’s commitment to the full deployment of integrated camera systems across the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), including body-worn cameras.  The prime minister said the systems will also include patrol car cameras, and national surveillance infrastructure, as part of a broader drive to strengthen accountability and operational effectiveness within the force.

Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has called on the leadership of the Jamaica Constabulary Force to conduct a public education campaign, over a 3 year period, to enlighten citizens and cops about how to interact with each other.

St. Ann based paralegal clerk and Justice of the Peace, Georgia Messam, has been sentenced to 2 and half years in prison, in relation to a multi million dollar real estate fraud case.

The alleged gunman implicated in yesterday's murder of Papine market manager Colleen "Sonnia" Bernard, is still admitted in hospital under police guard and is being interviewed by lawmen.
