Vice President of the Bustamante Industrial Trade Union (BITU), Rudolph Thomas has called on the Financial Services Commission, (FSC) to provide urgent assistance to former workers of the Decameron Ramada All-inclusive resort, in St. Ann, in relation to the payment of monies owed to them.
The workers were let go during a redundancy exercise at the hotel, last July.
The multi-agency, intelligence-led operations were conducted by agents from the Westmoreland Division, the Specialised Operations Branch, the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, the Area 1 Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Transport Authority, the Island Traffic Authority and the Jamaica Defence Force.The teams targeted areas such as Savanna-La-Mar, Frome, Bethel Town, Morgans Bridge, Little London and Whithorn.
