Three men were fatally shot during an alleged confrontation with police in Four Paths, Clarendon, last evening. Dead are 27-year-old Michael Pinnock otherwise called “size 10” of Swansea District, 35-year-old Dean Williams a mechanic of York Town, and Rushane Lynch of Hayes, all in Clarendon.

Opposition Spokesperson on Foreign and Regional Affairs, Senator Donna Scott-Mottley, is calling on the government to provide Jamaicans with a detailed explanation for its decision to terminate the medical cooperation arrangement with Cuba. The Jamaican government announced the discontinuation of the arrangement on Thursday, noting that it was unable to agree on the terms and conditions of a new technical cooperation arrangement.

Mr. Silvera was sentenced in the Supreme Court today by Chief Justice Bryan Sykes. The former MP had pleaded guilty to manslaughter in relation to the 2023 death of his wife, Melissa, at their St. Andrew home. The other charge is using a firearm to commit a felony.
