As work begins to digitise the nation's judicial system, Chief Justice Bryan Sykes is hoping that the project will not be an example of implemented information and communication technology systems that do not work.  The Integrated Electronic Case Management System is being implemented in partnership with the Rwanda Corporation Initiative with support from Global Affairs Canada and the United Nations Development Programme in Jamaica.

The representatives of the Jamaica Teachers' Association (JTA) are locked in a meeting with the Finance Ministry as salary negotiations continue. The meeting is taking place at the ministry's office in Downtown Kingston.

The St. James police say they are following strong leads, as investigations continue into the shooting death of a woman at the Montego Bay New Testament Church of God last Wednesday.  The deceased is 38-year-old businesswoman Corra Thompson of Cumber Avenue, Montego Bay, St. James.

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM ) has identified the five men who were fatally shot by members of the security forces in four separate incidents yesterday. They have been identified as: Ricardo Gayle, 25-year-old Paul Francis, 27-year-old Omar hooke, 42-year-old Justin Bondfield and 39-year-old Peter Gooden.

Grace Kennedy Limited will be implementing an average price increase, of 9 per cent on non-alcoholic beverages, come Friday. In a customer notice, the company said the increase applies to general trade customers - primarily small, independent and traditional retail outlets.
