The family of Stephen Cat Coore, of the legendary Reggae band Third World, is denying media reports that he suffered a heart attack or cardiac arrest.

His family indicates that Cat Coore, did however, suffer a compromised lung due to seepage in the surgical area into the chest cavity; following the recent surgery on his oesophagus.

According to his family, he is currently receiving attentive care from the University Hospital of the West Indies.

His family further assures that Cat Coore is currently conscious, alert, and stable. They also said that touring plans are continuing as scheduled with Third World gearing up for its Golden 50th anniversary in August 2023.
