CARICOM Chair assures Jamaica remains committed to implementing full free movement of Caribbean people among members sates

CARICOM Chairman, Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has assured that Jamaica remains committed to implementing full free movement of Caribbean people among members states.
Speaking at a press briefing yesterday at the end of the Heads of Government Meeting in St. James, Dr. Holness noted that the process has faced challenges due to Jamaica’s legislative framework.
The CARICOM Chairman said four other countries have stated their willingness to full free movement, starting October this year.
He also announced that three new categories of workers have been added to the list of persons eligible for free movement.
