Soca icon Machel Montano is bringing his powerful life story to Jamaican audiences, as his documentary Like ah Boss: Journey of a Soca King screens today at Carib 5 Theatre.

In a video shared on social media, the soca legend personally invited fans to attend the free screening, scheduled for 5:30pm today.

The documentary delivers an intimate and unfiltered look at Montano’s remarkable 40-year career, highlighting both the triumphs and challenges that shaped his journey to becoming one of soca music’s most influential figures.

Adding regional star power, the film features dancehall heavyweights beenie man, sean paul, and shaggy, underscoring montano’s impact across caribbean music.

Like ah Boss: Journey of a Soca King originally premiered on February 12 in cinemas across Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago. The documentary is set for release on digital platforms later this year
