By Marlene Freeman
A call has been made for the country’s leaders to declare a National Police Day.
It came from Deputy Mayor of Montego Bay, Dwight Crawford while speaking at the recent monthly meeting of the St .James Municipal Corporation.
Citing gains made in recent months, such as the reduction in crime, Crawford said the police are doing a good job.
He pointed out that the police have made it possible for citizens to go about their lives in peace and safety.
Mr. Crawford commended the police, describing them as modern day heroes.
