Co-chair of the Private Sector Sub-Committee set up by the Cabinet, Senator Keith Duncan says the aim of the group is to pull together resources from the sector to aid in recovery efforts.

The committee will meet at 4pm today.

Stakeholders from the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association along with the head of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica will participate in the meeting. 

Senator Duncan said the collaboration will ensure that the most necessary resources are sent to the most vulnerable. 

He said the damage caused by Melissa is devastating and the private sector understands that it must step up and provide aid.
