Cabinet seeking to award contracts under SPARK programme by September
Five international construction companies have been successful at the pre-qualification stage of the international bidding process, for the Shared Prosperity Through Accelerated Improvement to our Road Network, SPARK Programme.
Minister of Works, Robert Morgan says proposals will be sent to the companies this week, for them to bid on the 4 contract work packages, under the 40 billion dollar programme.
Each package covers a number of parishes.
Speaking during a Post Cabinet Press Briefing this morning, Mr. Morgan said Cabinet is seeking to award the contracts by the end of September.
He noted that 24 consultations have been had with residents across 21 constituencies and as a result, a priority list of roads to be rehabilitated has been developed.
