After being heavily criticized following claims that his song ‘Talibans’ is the biggest song since 2005, Byron Messia is bringing context to the situation.

In an attempt to address the criticisms he has been receiving, the Dancehall artist, who was born in Jamaica but raised in St. Kitts and Nevis, in a recent interview said, “I’m not trying to take away from every other artiste that has been doing Dancehall.”

This is not the first time that Byron Messia has angered Dancehall fans. When the song hit, he claimed that it was Afrobeat and not Dancehall music. Following heavy backslash, he later walked back those comments and clarified that it was Dancehall.
