Business Operators impacted by fire at Constant Spring Arcade saddened by incident, but grateful no life was lost
Despite losing several items to a fire at the Constant Spring Arcade in St. Andrew this morning, some business operators are expressing relief that no life was lost.
The blaze which started at about 9 AM, destroyed two shops and damaged another.
Some 20 firefighters contained the fire, but not before it caused damage estimated at $6.8 million.
Tyrone, the owner of a restaurant and bar affected, said while he had no goods in the shop, some equipment was destroyed.
He expressed relief that no one died as a result of the blaze.
Meantime, Kedisha Miller whose bar was destroyed said she lost everything in the blaze.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade is investigating the cause of the blaze.
