Bunting concerned about low clear up rate for murders
Opposition Spokesman on National Security, Senator Peter Bunting has expressed concern about the clear up rate for murders, recorded so far this year.
According to Senator Bunting, of the 471 murders recorded up to Saturday May 13, only 156 have been cleared up.
He said this is not adequate.
Meantime, Senator Bunting said while police data indicate a 14% reduction in murders compared to last year, 2022 saw one of the highest murder rates and is not the best year to be compared to.
