BPO Executive says there is more competition for employees in Jamaica due to falling unemployment rate
With Jamaica’s unemployment rate at historic lows, the marketplace for employees has become more competitive.
This, according to Founder and Chief Executive Officer of itelBPO, Yoni Epstein.
His comment comes as some companies have indicated that they are having issues finding employees.
Last month, Prime Minister Andrew Holness noted that there were several sectors struggling to find workers.
Speaking in an interview with IRIE FM news, Mr Epstein said employees are looking for companies that are offering more than just money.
Mr Epstein noted that his company prides itself on being an inclusive employer that treats its employees well.
Despite some challenges within the business process outsourcing industry, Mr Epstein is confident that the sector will continue to grow in the years to come.
