Boy fatally shot during alleged confrontation with police identified
The teen boy, who was fatally shot, during an alleged confrontation with the police, yesterday, has been identified.
He is 14-year-old Raheem Wilson.
Reports are that about 1:45 p.m. a group of armed males engaged the cops in a gun battle, along Hundred Lane, in Red Hills Road, in Kingston.
When the shooting subsided, the teenager was found suffering from gunshot wounds.
Wilson was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police reported that one 9-millimeter pistol, fitted with a magazine containing 14 9-millimeter rounds, was seized during the incident.
The matter is being investigated by the Independent Commission of Investigations, INDECOM.
