Ahead of the observation of World Mental Health Day on October 10, Dancehall heavyweight, Bounty Killer through his Bounty Foundation, yesterday donated several items to the Bellevue Hospital in Kingston.

In several posts to his official Instagram, the Dancehall hitmaker, shared that The Bounty Foundation, led by him and his manager Paul “Bankey” Giscombe paid a courtesy visit to the psychiatric institution, and donated two AC units, five wheelchairs, nine walkers, a crutch and two televisions one 36-inch and the other a 24-inch, which will benefit the over four hundred patients in residence.

Bounty shared that it gave him great joy being able to gift the less fortunate thus creating smiles for Jamaica and encouraged corporate Jamaica to play a better role in caring for the needy.

The team’s visit to the institution included a rap session with the administrators, with the Dancehall hitmaker highlighting the importance of taking care of one’s mental health. He encouraged men especially, to take steps to protect their sanity, stressing the importance of talking about issues affecting them and crying, if necessary, despite the stigma associated with men crying.

Incorporated in July 2020, The Bounty Foundation has been consistently giving back to the less fortunate and disabled across Jamaica. The foundation’s motto: Each One, teach one, to reach one– reflects its mandate of, seeking to uplift individuals and communities in dire need of food, clothing, medical equipment and volunteer services.
