Dancehall heavyweight Bounty Killer has given his stamp of approval to the nominees vying for the Grammy for Best Reggae Album.

“Now this is a worthy selection for the Reggae category. Congratulations to all the nominees let’s go folks”, he wrote on his official social media account today (Nov 13).

Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Collie Buddz, Burning Spear, and Julian Marley are the chosen five vying for the coveted Best Reggae Album title at the 66^th annual Grammy Awards next year.

Entertainers Buju Banton, Beenie Man, and Collie Buddz have used their respective social media accounts to react to their recent Grammy nominations.

Buju Banton, who has earned his 8th Grammy nomination for his album ‘Born For Greatness’, used his verified Instagram account to show his appreciation. “My only joy is being able to share this gift with the universe, for that I am always humbled #BornForGreatnness”, he wrote.

Meanwhile, Beenie Man, who scored his fourth Grammy nomination with ‘SIMMA’, has expressed gratitude for the recognition. “Deeply grateful for the Grammy nomination for my album Simma. This recognition is a testament to the incredible journey we’ve shared through music. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this remarkable adventure”, he shared on Instagram.

Collie Buddz, who scored his first Grammy nomination with ‘Cali Roots Riddim 2023’, has expressed shock. “Wow! Very unexpected”, he wrote in part, via his official Instagram account.

Julian Marley, who has never won a Grammy, has scored his third nomination with ‘Colours of Royal’.

While two-time Grammy winner Burning Spear, who won his first Grammy in the Best Reggae Album category in 1999 for ‘Calling Rastafari’ and in 2008 for ‘Jah Is Real’, has scored his 13^th nomination for his album ‘No Destroyer’.

The recording academy on Friday announced the nominees in over 94 categories.

The 66^th annual Grammy Awards is slated to take place on February 4, 2024 in Los Angeles.
