Bomb threat at St. Andrew Prep School forces evacuation of students and staff and causes disruption in the area
A bomb threat at St. Andrew Preparatory School this morning forced the evacuation of students and staff and caused major disruption in the area.
Fire Commissioner Stewart Beckford told IRIE FM News that the Jamaica Fire Brigade was alerted around 9:20 A.M.
Authorities cordoned off the area and closed sections of Cecelio Avenue in St. Andrew where the school is located, as a precaution.
Commissioner Beckford also confirmed that the nearby Statistical Institute of Jamaica (STATIN) was affected, with access to the area restricted while safety checks continue.
