Bob Marley tribute album wins Grammy for Best Reggae Album
Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by a Film) won the 2025 Grammy Award for Best Reggae Album.
On Sunday night, a representative of Island Records accepted the award, stating in his speech that the album was a tribute to “the greatest of all time.”
The 10-track Grammy-winning project, released on February 16 last year, features cover versions of Bob Marley’s classics performed by artists such as Wizkid, Shenseea, and Bob Marley’s grandchildren, Skip and Mystic Marley, among others.
Bob Marley: One Love (Music Inspired by a Film) triumphed over nominees Vybz Kartel, Shenseea, Collie Buddz, and The Wailers.
Both Kartel and Shenseea attended the Grammys on Sunday, walking the red carpet and participating in interviews.
During her red carpet interview, Shenseea acknowledged Vybz Kartel.
Meanwhile, in an interview with the Associated Press, Vybz Kartel credited musical giants like Buju Banton, Beenie Man, and Ninja Man.
The 67th annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday in Los Angeles.
